The 2008 ArtWorks of Eau Gallie Festival Committee is seeking one original work of art to be featured on the 12th annual ArtWorks Festival poster. The Festival will be held November 22nd and 23rd on Highland Avenue in the Eau Gallie Riverfront Business District. A judge, selected by the ArtWorks Committee, will jury the entries.

Rules:

1. Must be original work produced by the submitting artist. Multiple entries OK.
2. Subject matter: Something which captures the “flavor” of the Eau Gallie area.
3. Vertical, horizontal and square compositions will be accepted.
Maximum dimensions: 24”x 24”
4. Works must be unframed and/or unmated, & protected by shrink warp or a clear plastic envelope.
5. Entry deadline is 5 PM on Thursday, July 31st. No exceptions.
6. The winner will be notified on or before Monday, August 4th.
7. Work to be delivered and picked up by the artist at the Foosaner Education Wing of the Brevard Art Museum, 1520 Highland Avenue in Eau Gallie. Phone: (321)242-0737

Delivery dates: July 28th through July 31st, between 10 AM and 5 PM

Pick up dates: August 4th through the 8th.

All work must be reclaimed by August 8th.

Jean Thomas spent nine years as a communications officer for two
divisions of the Dun & Bradstreet Corporation. She changed from
corporate life to teaching and now teaches art and design courses at
Brevard Community College. She gets inspiration from her diverse and
talented students. She has a bachelor of design from the University
of Florida and a MFA from Texas Tech University. Her artistic
interests include computer graphics, painting, and pottery
